Launch of the FALCON project on next-generation aircrafts

In this series, Euronovia is happy to present its 5 new projects starting in 2024!

The FALCON project (Foreseeing the next generation of Aircraft) officially began on 1 January 2024 and will run for 4 years. Its kick-off meeting was held in Marseille (France) on 31 January and 1 February 2024.

Funded by the Horizon Europe programme, FALCON is a European collaborative project aiming to push the aeronautical industry in Europe towards noise and fuel reductions, and sustainability improvements of global air transport. The project will enhance the design capabilities of the European industrial aircraft sector, focusing on fluid-structure interaction phenomena to improve the aeroelastic performances of aircraft (unsteady loads).

FALCON brings together a consortium of 15 partners from 6 countries (France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, United Kingdom), coordinated by Aix Marseille University (Marseille, France). This consortium is made up of internationally recognized research groups and centre, major companies, and a major actor in the European aeronautical industry.

The FALCON project has a budget of 4,878,345.25€ funded by the European Commission until 31 December 2027.

Within the framework of the project, Euronovia will lead the Communication, Dissemination & activities in order to disseminate the FALCON project results to the appropriate stakeholders.

For more information about the project, follow FALCON on LinkedIn and Twitter. In the coming months, the project website will be published. Discover Euronovia’s other European projects!
