Interested in European research and innovation in the field of energy? In June, two large-scale events will be organised in Brussels: the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) and the H2020 Energy Info Days for current calls for proposals.
EU Sustainable Energy Week
The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the largest energy annual event organized by the European Union. The 2019 EUSEW edition will take place in Brussels from 17 to 21 June. This year’s motto: “Shaping Europe’s Energy Future”.
This large scale event includes several activities:
- A Policy Conference, from 18 to 20 June, with high level speakers (from European institutions, ministries, agencies…);
- A Networking Village, with stands from various stakeholders from the energy sector, project pitching and talks from experts;
- The EU Sustainable Energy Awards in 4 categories (Engagement, Innovation, Leadership and Youth). The Awards Ceremony will take place on 18 June. And in the meantime, you can vote for your favourite nominated project for the Citizens’ Award.
The EU Sustainable Energy Week is also celebrated far beyond Brussels! During the whole month of June, numerous “Energy Days” will be organised everywhere in Energy: site visits, good practices of projects, public talks… You can find the closest energy day here.
Horizon 2020 Information Days
Moreover, the European Commission will organise Info Days on the Energy H2020 calls for proposals from 25 to 27 June 2019 in Brussels. These Info Days aims at presenting the 2019-2020 Energy Calls, advice and good practices to project coordinators for their grant application.
The programme: the first 2 days of the event will focus on “Research, Innovation and Market uptake project on Clean Energy”. June 27th will be dedicated to “Energy Efficiency – Buildings and Consumers in the Energy transition”. If you’re interested in the event, but cannot make it to Brussels, the event will be live web-streamed on the event website.
Registration to the Info Days is free, but mandatory. Please note that a maximum of two people per organisation can be registered. Participants who are searching for partners to strengthen their H2020 consortium can also register to the Brokerage event and related B2B meetings specially organised for the Info Days.
