A look back at 2020: the best-of Euronovia

Oh 2020… an atypical year that will be remembered! Before plunging into this new year, which promises to be exciting, let’s take a look at the highlights of the past 12 months.

Three new Horizon 2020 projects

Three Horizon 2020 projects in which Euronovia is a partner have been funded and will be launched in the course of 2021:

  • FLOATECH (Energy): Optimization of Floating Wind Turbines Using Innovative Control Techniques and Fully Coupled Open Source Engineering Tools ;
  • SCORE (Climate): Smart Control of the Climate Resilience in European Coastal Cities ;
  • Co-Udlabs (Infrastructures): Building Collaborative Urban Drainage research labs communities.

Euronovia will be in charge of communication activities and dissemination of results. These new projects join the five H2020 projects in which we are already partners!

We have also supported the success of many European collaborative projects, notably PANACEA (led by CNRS) and COLOTAN (KU Leuven). We have also been selected by the French National Olympic Committee for Sport (CNOSF) to support its members in European programmes.

A new training programme

As we announced last year, Euronovia has been referenced in Datadock, the French database of quality training organisations. We have launched a new training offer dedicated to national and European funding programmes, with :

  • Tailor-made training courses, designed on demand and according to the needs of your organisation ;
  • Catalogue training courses, open to all;
  • Free Webinars.

Save the date for our next training sessions on Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ in February 2021! More information here.

Two new consultants in the team

This year, our team has been further strengthened with the arrival of two new collaborators:

  • Antoine Kieffer, agricultural engineer and former NCP for Bioeconomy, to reinforce our European collaborative projects pole (H2020, Horizon Europe, Erasmus+);
  • Édouard Méen, consultant in innovation funding, in charge of grants for start-ups and SMEs.

Our killer team is now well on the way to parity 🙂

Long live the European Association of Innovation Consultants!

The European Working Group of Innovation Consultants (EWGIC) has gained momentum by becoming an association (EAIC) in November 2020. And Virginie Robin, President of Euronovia, has been appointed as a Board Member. This new status will strengthen the positioning of the initiative within the European innovation consulting ecosystem and the European institutions.

The European Association of Innovation Consultants has now reached nearly 50 members and published 3 position papers on professional project management and the EIC Accelerator. We are proud to be actively involved in this initiative since its inception in 2019! Find out more about EAIC.

On the road to Horizon Europe!

After two years of negotiations and the upheaval caused by the COVID-19 health crisis, the EU’s multiannual financial framework for 2021-2027 was finally adopted on 17 December. The agreement on the Horizon Europe budget reaches €95 billion, an increase of more than €15 billion compared to Horizon 2020. With €26 billion for 2021-2027, Erasmus+ almost doubles its budget compared to the previous programming period.

At Euronovia, we have closely followed the state of the negotiations and we have been immersed in the evolution of the ‘new’ European programmes, especially Horizon Europe. We are therefore on the starting blocks to support projects from the opening of future calls for proposals! Three of our consultants (Virginie Robin, Marie Prouteau and Simon Nardin) are already referenced by Bpifrance as Europe experts.

The whole Euronovia team wishes you an excellent start to 2021. Do not hesitate to contact us to make your European projects shine!
